I remember Steffi (she prefered Stephanie as a "grown-up") from North Bethesda JHS days - as well as WJ. She was rather shy, very bright and motivated. We were in a lot of the same classes. I had a lot of respect for her at WJ.

I reached out to her for our 20th reunion in 1989 (the first one I attended) and she responded with a lovely note. She wrote that she would have liked to attend, but was pregnant with her first child. About 10 years later, our paths crossed again in Glen Echo, the home of Adventure Theatre. Our daughters were in summer shows there. It was really nice to catch up in person. She seemed happy.

I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She left us way too soon.
