Shannon was my very first “real” boyfriend (first kiss!) and an all around wonderful guy. My deepest condolences to Anne and the rest of his family & friends.

Shannon was a friend & team mate of mine on the WJ Varsity football team. In practice, I had the most difficult task of trying to tackle him ( one on one ) & to try to get through his strong blocks...he was a great big bruising running back with a gentle soul.

Fast forward into the 80's, I was working on an oceanographic research vessel...( Homeported in Annapolis ) and one day Shannon comes aboard looking for the Capt. & he and I had a great 'mini reunion' and a 'catch up ' session for ~ 1 hour or so...we ' replayed ' a few old WJ football games in our heads.

He told me about his Naval training which included SEAL training & being a submarnier and all sorts of World travels...What a Cool visit that was !  ...Out of the Blue...like Deep Blue Sea itself !

My heart felt thoughts go out to the family...

God Speed Shannon !  God Speed  !

You were a Real 'Spartan' !
