Donna Chamberlain (Doyle)

Donna Chamberlain (Doyle)

Donna Chamberlain Doyle suddenly passed away of a heart attack in Minneapolis on September 6. Attending WJ was a “blast” according to her. She was active in WJ’s productions and especially enjoyed being a part of the Make-Up crew. Upon graduation she started working for the C&P phone company. She married Tom Doyle, a 1967 St. John’s graduate on February 8, 1975. Upon the birth of their daughter, Angela in 1981, Donna quit her job and stayed at home to raise her. As Angela grew older, Donna was actively in the Clopper Mill PTSA, the Cinnamon Woods Swim Team and served as Brownie and Girl Scout leaders in Angela’s troops. She was in charge of the cookie sales for the upper county area. She became a volunteer at Clopper Mill ES and as Angela continued into middle and high school Donna became a para educator. In 2019, She and Tom moved to the Minneapolis area to be near to Angela who had moved there earlier. As an avid Spartan, Donna and Tom attended most if not all the reunions until the 50th which they couldn’t make due to their move. In addition to Tom and Angela, she is survived by 3 older brothers - Douglas, David and Dennis as well as a younger sister, Debbie.

Donna and I met in elementary school.  She was always the nicest person and I looked forward to seeing her and Linda throughout the years.  I will miss her smiling face but I will remember her always.

I met Donna the first day of 7th grade in homeroom at NB. The rest as they say is history!!! Throughout our school years we were practically inseperable-after that almost. The most wonderful aspect of Donna was her love and joy in life. Always good natured, she laughed and brought happiness to everyone she knew. Kids, adults and animals were all treated with respect. We has so many outrageous adventures and excursions, too numerous to recount here. I'll just say here sense of direction never got better. I miss you so much!!
