Robert Volz

Robert (Bob) Volz passed away of a heart attack on 3/29/20. He is survived by his 2 children Steven and Charlene. Before WJ, Bob went to Kensington Junior High.  He attended High Point University in High Point, NC where he graduated with a dual degree in Chemistry and Business. Bob worked for over 35 years in the chemical industry before retiring to live by the beach. In his retirement years, he enjoyed going to the beach and volunteering his time to help others in the Millville, DE community. A Celebration of Life service with family was held on 6/27/20.

I didn't know Robert that well.  He was a brilliant guy to have that double major.  For this to happen at such a young age doesn't seem fair.   Steve Howard

I attended Kensington Junior High with Robert and enjoyed his humor. He will be missed.

I didn't know Bob well, although we hung around some of the same clubs - chess club, etc.  But if my dim memory serves, he and I did share one small moment of glory as partners on the triumphant senior class bridge team in a Junior-Senior class competition.  John Edmonds and Bob Dulaney were the other pair on our team and probably did most of the heavy lifting.  (As I'm sure they'd be more than happy to tell you.)

Sorry that he's gone.

I was not part of Robert"s circle, but any classmate who's not with us anymore gets my prayers and good wishes as a fellow traveller. :-)
